Therapy that moves with you

A blended approach

Whilst certain types of problem are common, like anxiety, each person’s own experience of their problem and the way they will overcome it, are unique to them.

For this reason, each treatment plan and every session are provided in response to the individual, carefully respecting your circumstances, needs, and resources.

This flexible, person-centered approach integrates a range of therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to:

Our approach to helping people is built around one simple but important truth, that in the beginning, they we’re OK.

Its also true to say that most people who reach out for help haven’t felt ‘OK’ for a long time (or even ever), it helps to know that behind all that they have learned, the emotions they carry, the maladapted behaviours, habits, addictions, neuroses - is the essence of who they are, what we might call their true Self.

The (Re) Approach is designed to connect people with their original Self, primarily by helping them shed whatever problematic trances are holding them back. So that they too can feel OK again*.

Whilst every client’s therapy journey is unique, most treatment plans include the following phases. These phases are flexible, and we move between them as needed to support your progress.

Please book a consultation to discuss your specific needs further.

*The prefix "re-" is a Latin root word that means "back" or "again".

Tom Carter
Private Therapist & Coach

Hi, I’m Tom. My passion lies in helping people feel better—emotionally, mentally, and physically. This passion comes from personal experience: witnessing loved ones struggle with mental health challenges and navigating my own journey through anxiety, depression and addiction.

At times, it felt impossible to find a way forward, and it wasn’t until my 30s that I realised how unconsciously I had been living my life. Thankfully, I found a path to healing. Now, as a therapist, I guide others on their journeys, helping them restore balance and connection between mind and body, conscious and unconscious.

It’s a profound privilege to walk alongside people as they heal, reintegrate, and transform—often in the face of incredible adversity. Every day, I’m inspired by the human capacity for change and resilience.

"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate"
